Getting there

Finding your way to Blue Gate Cottage

(Please be aware that your navigation app may not provide accurate guidance to the cottage)

Please note: Blue Gate Cottage sits within a national park, which means that access to it involves driving on unsealed forest roads of varying quality that you are also sharing with wildlife.

From the Beechworth-Wodonga Road

  1. Turn into Warden Lane at Wooragee.

  2. After 300m, Warden Lane veers to the left and continues for 2.3 km, eventually turning into an unsealed road.

  3. At the end, turn right onto Old Coach Rd (please note: there are 3 options for turning right, all close together. Take the 3rd one since it offers the best option for crossing the drain channel).

  4. After 800m, turn left onto Honeysuckle Creek Rd.

  5. Continue for 1200m, then turn right onto Honeysuckle Track and follow it for 1100m.

From the Hume Freeway

  1. Take the Barnawartha exit onto Indigo Valley Rd towards Beechworth/Yackandandah.

  2. After 10.5 km, turn right onto Watchbox Rd (unsealed road), continuing to Black Dog Creek Rd.

  3. Veer left onto Elligates Rd (still in the National Park).

  4. Pass the Cheesly Gate Rd–Honeysuckle Track crossing.

  5. Turn left onto Honeysuckle Creek Rd, then left onto Honeysuckle Track and follow it for 1100m.
